show 'n' tell time
good morning, mary ann here...apologize for the delay...having a bit of a late start...
hope you all had a wonderful weekend. i went to a vintage paper show in my town yesterday & went through LOADS of paper ephemera! it was kind of exhausting to go through boxes upon boxes of STUFF, but oh-so delightful to come across some lovely postcards and photos. one dealer had a "5 cents" box, & man, did i go through that with a fine tooth comb, lol!
also this weekend, i received my wonderfully thoughtful swap package from cynthia (which i hope to blog about later this morning)...i was absolutely thrilled to receive her package (thank you so much cynthia, i *heart* everything!). then i got an email from liz, with whom i swapped, & she reported that she received my parcel & was thrilled to bits with the goodies i sent her way (you are very welcome, liz & enjoy!). how fun to have connected with such lovely ladies...for sure i will be visiting their blogs from now on *smile*...
how about you? i hope that you & your swap partners were able to connect in the past weeks, share some of your creative wealth & been happy recipients of some fantastic swap packages! if you have, oh please do show 'n' tell...we'd all like to collectively ooh & ahh. so leave a comment & tell us where we can find you...
i was going to post a pix of the lovely card cynthia made for me, but for the past 30 minutes or so, the image could not be inserted! i will hopefully get to post pix on my blog later today, so that you all can see cynthia's handiwork...
well, my dear creative blog friends, my time as your guest swap host is coming to an end...as next monday i will be passing the "swap" torch on...it was an honor & wicked FUN being a guest host this month. because of this experience i got to learn & visit so many more talented folks via their blogs. BIG thanks to melba & all you lovely gals who participated in this month's CREATIVE CRAFT SWAP! without YOU, CaC would not be what it is!!! i'm so excited & looking forward to checking out all your swap goodies!
thanks for playing & remember to follow your bliss!
xxoo mary ann

Thank you sooo much, Rosa, for your beautiful "Found Art" handmade journal "Approach life with Passion." What a simply perfect gift for me as this is one year of amazement for me as I hit a milestone b-day this June. The pieces that you chose to create the front cover art are simply amazing...and the history behind every piece is quite wonderous...thank you for being so thoughtful and taking the time to create a connection with me. Your "Found Art", your blog, your creations have inspired greatness all over the world and I'm so fortunate to have "Found" you and your beautiful creations because it has open my eyes & soul to rekindle my fires of creativity and to remember to "Approach life with PASSION!" Always grateful, Jo

Jennifer, I'm happy to hear that your package arrived. I always have a hard time deciding what to send and not. I'm glad you like the creativity piece.
I also received my package from Pauline, sweet memories, yesterday. In her e-mails she told me she liked to create sweets for neighbours and friends. I must say that when I received this package from Pauline I was practically speechless. I couldn't believe all the treasures packed into that one beautifully decorated box. Thank you Pauline. You are very kind. See photos on my blog at

I am having an awful time posting about my treasures I received yesterday in the mail from Georgia http://justdandily.blogspot.com/. I was so excited to see her package, and knew just knew she made me one of those fabulous necklaces of hers! I didnt want to ask for one, because I know how much work goes into what she created for me, so when she asked me if I wanted supplies or an item she created, I left it up to her and decided whatever she had the time and energy for. Well, this piece is fabulous and I am sorry to take up so much space here, but I must! I moved the pieces around my house last night, depending on what room I was in, I have admired her pieces on her blog and now I have some in my own home! What a delighful surprise. The handmade necklace reads 'Have Faith' and I plan on wearing it today with my favorite colors, black and white, and I cannot wait to blog what my girlfriends say about it today....and I will get a picture of me in in today and post later on my blog, when I can figure out what is going on with it! I have silvery expressions all over my home with black and white photos behind them (imagine, live, love, sweet). This artist sent along bottle cap magnets with the words "inspire, play, live and create". Simply amazing beautiful pieces, I hope she makes many of these and is able to share her beauty with others. What a wonderful swap that was hosted. My favorite jewelry is black and silver, and my favorite things in life are simple words to live by....hmmm....must she have known?! Thank you Georgia...I cant wait to tell others about you when they ask me where I got this amazing piece! Your note card was adorable. I know how busy things are with children and for you to make this time for me, well, thank you....I will admire and love these treasures forever!

I received the most excellent package from Leonie last week. Lovely papers, a cool stamp and ink, snowflake punch and some New Zealand music! I love the cd and it is on constant play in my car. My kids love it too- about the third song in my son asked if we could put it on his i-pod!
Thanks again to Leonie! And thanks to Mary Ann for putting it together, and of course Melba for connecting us all :)

This was an awesome experience! Thank you so much, Melba and sis, Mary Ann, for this Create A Connection outlet!!! I have been intimidated for quite sometime in creating ATCs and wasn't sure how to go about doing it...and this experience has inspired me to really create something from my heart with just a few art supplies: a piece of paper, scraps of ribbon, glitter, glue and tons of imagination! From this experience, I not only created a connection with another sweet & creative soul, NIKKI...but I also created a connection with myself! Thank you, thank you for opening my eyes and heart that anything is POSSIBLE! I don't have a blog but I have a flickr account and I've posted my lil' pack o'treats to my sweet swap pal, Nikki...thank you again for this wonderful experience! xoxo Looney aka jo
