welcome to week 2 of my hosting saturday's try day. i have been feeling like
a whirlwind this past week, with school finishing up and end of the year
meetings. (i feel like i'm repeating myself...) walking my dog has been a
reminder to stay in the present moment. daisy likes to stop and smell
everything. she greets everyone she meets with the same enthusiasm. she is
interested in every dog, every flower, every experience, and lets it wash
through her happy puppy body.
i've been thinking a lot lately about connections - with ourselves, our
creativity, our friends, and the people we meet casually in the world. i
truly believe that we have an energy exchange with everyone that we meet,
even if it's just brushing by them in the grocery store. sometimes i look at
the people i see on a random day and wonder who they are, what their dreams
are, what they do for a living. if they have kids, if they like to read,
what's their favourite movie.
if you would like to participate this week, i'd like us to try and meet a
stranger. say hello, yes, but also engage them in a way that goes beyond the
surface. see if you can't find the little spark in there that makes them who
they are.
share in the comments here about your experience.
happy saturday!

Connections! Yay for someone saying that. You put it out there for all to see and it comes back tenfold. A lot of people in the tech world think this way these days but not so many in the arts, so I'm so glad to see you writing on these topics! You're so web 2.0 :^)
