Crown Making Class – Part 3 - Embellishments

MATERIALS

Glue gun, glue sticks

Embellishments:

Flowers and leaves

Monograms

Metallic trims

Metallic cords

Sequins

Lace

This is probably the most fun part of the Crown Making Class. You will now decorate and style your crown using embellishments.

PAPER PLEAT: I am going to teach you how to make a paper pleat wheel. You need to cut a strip of paper {handmade paper is the best to use for this as it’s flexible} about 2’’1/2 and start forming an accordion {each fold is about a little more than a ¼”}. Form the wheel and to secure it together in the center, add a few glue drops with your glue gun.

TIP: You can also “cheat” and make two half wheels and then glue them together.

To give them more dimension “dust” the edges with glitter. And add using stampings or flowers.

*Tomorrow you will learn how to assemble and glue a mini flower bouquet like the one on my “Vintage Garden Crown”.
