What a View!

Ok, folks.  Amber's back with another Photo Day theme!  This week let's share the view from our windows.  What do you see when you pull back the curtains and open the blinds?  This one shouldn't be too difficult - all you have to do is grab your camera and look out the window!  Come on!  You can check out the view from my home over at Random Ramblings.

Happy Thoughts

Hey, y'all!  Amber's back with another Thursday Photo Day theme.  I was channel-surfing this weekend and one of my favorite movies happened to be on - Hook.  Do you remember when the Lost Boys are trying to help Peter remember how to fly?  They tell him to think happy thoughts, and then they share some of their happy thoughts ("bugs" is always the one that stands out to me as absolutely hilarious) with him.

Well, I didn't just share that little tidbit of a movie for nothing - that's our theme this week!  Share your "happy thought" with us this week.  I'll have mine posted over here later today.

Thursday Photo Day: Something New

Hey, y'all!  Me again, Amber, here with another Thursday Photo Day.  This week I've been trying new things and getting to know a new city, and I thought it would be a good theme for this week's photo day to post a picture of something new to you.  A new food you had never tried before, a new pair of shoes you love, a new friend you just met, anything that is new to you.  I'll be posting my pics later today over here.

Thursday Photo Day: Home

Hey, there everybody!  I'm Amber, and I'll be your host for October's Thursday Photo Days.

I very recently (as in, this week) moved from Tennessee, where I have lived for nearly 8 years, to Arizona, where I know absolutely no one except my husband.  And this upheaval has had me thinking about the concept of "home" an awful lot lately.  So I thought I'd set that as our theme for the week.  What is home to you?  Show us a picture of your house, your neighborhood, your home away from home, wherever you feel the most "at home."

Here's a photo of what home used to be (taken last February):

And here's a picture of our new home - well, the leasing office for our apartment complex (taken yesterday):

Roadway Beauties

Hey y'all, it's Becca and this is my last Photo Thursday host day!

This was a sight on the road heading towards work this past January.  To my last job at least.  I absolutely loved driving through the winding roads through the forest on a winter day.  You never know if you'd see spotty fog like this, ice crystals on the lawns, or a blindingly bright day.  It was always a treat and I tried to take pictures - which, let me tell you, is not easy while driving!  Sadly, the only real thing I miss about the job is the drive through the forest and over the lake.  (The job itself was terrible!)

What sights do you see en route to work/ school?

Those Crazy Kids...

Hello all!  Becca here again for another round of Photo Thursdays... Today we're discussing/ showing off those crazy kids.  Now, i don't have human children, but i do have 4-legged and very furry children.  And oh boy, are they crazy at times!

Gabbee3 Gabbee was a little begger.

She was a big fan of cheezeballs and straws and would make sure you knew about it.

Acrobatics101004 Mia was my little acrobatic girl.

She could twist and turn and scale small buildings with a single leap.  Well, she sure loved staring out windows and sleeping amidst stuffed animals during hurricanes at least.

Hanging12906 Phoenix is a total baby!

He may be twice as big now as he was in this picture, but he's still a crazy baby.  He's an only cat-child for the 1st time in his life and doesn't quite know what to do with his freedom... so he follows me everywhere and meows constantly!

Now it's your turn to show me some of your babies and the funny things they like to do.  Human children and furry children alike!  Heck, even bird children if they do funny things - ours never did...

Birthday Thursday!

Hello all, it's me, Becca, your September Photo day hostess!  Today we're posting about birthdays!  They can be yours, someone in your family, your pet, a friend... it doesn't matter!  Show us some really fun pictures from birthday parties you've attended.

Technically my birthday isn't until Sunday - I'll be 31 years young! - but since my post day is Thursday, we'll just extend my birthday a little bit.  Wait, who am I kidding, the entire month of September is all about me!  Last year for my bday, my best friend flew me to Miami so I could hang out with my family for a few days - and she planned her trip back there to coincide with mine.  Best bday ever was seeing her, my 2 godsons and my family!

Last year, my folks took my brothers and I to a seafood buffet in the Florida Keys. Becretarded my little brother kept poking me in the head and this time, he had his finger in my ear.  my older brother decided... "photo op!"

Hello, Allo, Aloha, Hola, Guten Tag, Shalom!

Colddayinmiami_3 Hey guys, here we are for a new month of Photo Days!  I'm your host this month, Becca, and I am an avid photographer.  I always have my digital camera at hand and am forever snapping pictures around town.

Last Thursday we said goodbye to summer, now it's time to say hello to Fall!  OK, well, it's certainly not Fall here in North Carolina with this crazy heat, but we have gone back to school.  That counts, right?

I know I can't wait until the weather cools off and the leaves start to change colors.  It's part of the reason why I moved out of Miami, FL where we only had 1 season: summer!  My mom claims the picture to the right was taken on the single cold day in Miami in 1979 - I was 3! - but I'm thinking cold in Miami means 65.

This week, post either your favorite back to school or Fall photo's.  Let's see those kids with their new school clothes or your favorite parts of the upcoming Fall season.

Cheers!
Becca

Thursday Photo Day: So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, goodbye!

Here it is, the last Thursday in August...wow!  My last Photo Thursday at Create a Connection...it's been a total blast!  I know my posts are short (sweet & to the point as they say), but I hope you've have fun with the prompts!

This week, I'd like to see you post a picture of a "goodbye", a fond "farewell" or even better, an enthusiastic "see you later"!   This could be a wave, a sign, a kiss, running away from the camera, any one of many things!  Have fun with this!

Myself, I don't care for goodbyes...I like to keep my options open, who knows where life will take me!  So go ahead and post a picture of a "see you later" and thanks for playing this month!  I've enjoyed looking at your pictures and meeting new folks...it's been fun :-)

You can see my idea of farewell at my blog!

Thursday Photo Day: Unique!

Hi everyone, I'm back with another Photo Thursday at Create a Connection!

This week, I'd like to see a picture of "unique".  I was once told I was unique by my ex-husband, and when I tentatively smiled at him, he added..."but not in a good way."  I felt sad for him, sad that he didn't appreciate uniqueness, that he didn't appreciate expressing enjoyment or delight in life.  He would rather I was like everyone else...perhaps you understand this?  I can't say I do, but to each their own!  That's what makes life interesting...can you imagine if everyone was exactly the same?  Eek!

So go ahead and post a picture that represents "unique" to you.

You can see my idea of unique at my blog!
